Stolen Ride enters the cycle parking industry
Stolen Ride enters the cycle parking solutions industry
We are extremely pleased to announce our entry into the cycle parking solutions industry. Our new position will allow us to actively help increase the number of cycle parking facilities around London. We believe this is one very important aspect in helping to reduce cycle theft and also in improving the whole experience of cycling in London. We have teamed up with an award-winning team of cycle parking experts and the products available include bike racks and bespoke secure cycle hubs, which come with a full project planning service and installation.
One of the key outcomes of the 2016 ‘London Cycle Theft Survey‘ (1800 cyclists) we ran with the London Cycling Campaign was that there is a clear lack of ‘fit for purpose’ parking facilities. With this, the risk of theft is increased when bikes are secured to inappropriate objects such as railings. Also, that the lack of facilities is a major frustration, with some cyclists finding it very hard to find somewhere available to lock their bike. In our opinion this is not an acceptable situation, especially in a city that has a rapidly expanding number of cyclists and that is trying to reduce the number of polluting vehicles on the road.
The London cycling community is at the heart of everything we do at Stolen Ride, so on top of increasing the number of bicycle parking facilities, we plan to engage everyone and bring new digital tools and insight to London cyclists. This will include campaigns and other elements, ultimately to help reduce cycle theft by increasing awareness, education and action. Expect to see our website develop over the coming months and of course, we will always welcome feedback and are happy to chat at any time.
The following cycle parking products are suitable for a huge variety of outdoor and indoor locations so please use the contact form today (or do pass the details to your local council, employer or local facility) and the parking experts will quickly get in-contact to kick off the project.
